The Association
Student Care Association Republic of Singapore (STARS) is a non-profit trade association formed in 2019 to represent the interests of the student care industry and middle childhood education in Singapore. Members of STARS comprise of teachers and professionals in the industry, aspiring middle childhood teachers, community, and businesses.

We work closely with educators, researchers, parents, schools, ministry and other community members to raise the quality standards of the middle childhood care and education in our country.
The Mission & Vision
STARS aspire to take the lead in communal efforts to attract Singapore’s young to pursue a career in the student care industry. One key focus within STARS is talent development and to ensure that the teachers remain relevant to the industry’s needs. We endeavour to play a proactive role in bringing industry players together to synergize through regular contact and continue to provide the catalyst for nurturing cooperation and the necessary support to promote and facilitate the growth of the industry.

Objectives

To advocate industry transformation, personal development and competitiveness by improving the standards of student care industry and professionalism of the student care teachers.

To foster partnerships and good relations amongst industry members to support initiatives that promote sustainable growth and support.

To provide the necessary springboard for members to share ideas, exchange knowledge or experience, raise and discuss common issues.

To present student care community’s interests and views to the relevant government bodies.

To facilitate and negotiate legislative and other measures affecting student care industry.

To endorse, maintain and protect the quality and uniformity in the middle childhood care and education framework.
